Serialisation

Serialization is a sophisticated technology imparting high security to the Label. Serialization refers to the process of imparting variable information to a security hologram or label, so as to make it unique in nature. This information may be in the form of barcodes, QR codes or serial numbers which can be read by field personnel using handheld devices or even by the end customers using mobile application.

Serialization has become a fundamental part of the production and logistics operations of many manufacturers across various industry sectors. Its implementation has led to a significant curb in the circulation of counterfeit products throughout distribution channels, thus greatly increasing consumer trust and loyalty for brands worldwide. There are many techniques used for serialization, and choosing the right one depends on the application, material and how well it integrates with other equipment in the production process.

Inkjet Numbering

The variable codes are printed on to the Label/hologram using inkjet technology. Fixed or Sequential numbering which can be pure numeric or a combination of alphabets and numbers can be printed. It is becoming imperative for organizations to keep a track of goods & indeed the Labels/ Holograms themselves. This form of variable information can include serial nos. / batch codes / date of manufacturing thus leading to customization of each Label/ Hologram.

Laser Etching

Laser etching on the Label/hologram can be provided which is permanent impression. We can Laser Mark Sequential and Fixed numeric, alpha numeric data, date, signatures, images and logos. Variable information is permanently imprinted on the Label for customization and higher security. The metallic layer of the Hologram is ‘etched’ in the shape / type of writing required using a high-powered laser. This is a permanent etching & cannot be removed by any means & is therefore tamperproof.

UV Numbering

UV Numbering refers to the process of printing variable serial numbers, alpha-numeric codes, QR codes which are invisible to the naked eye. The printing is visible when exposed to UV light. This helps in second stage authentication & also to track goods throughout the chain of distribution in a covert manner. Thermal Printing

This type of printing is suitable for varnished, laminated or clear labels and holograms. A digitally controlled print-head precisely melts ink from a ribbon directly onto the substrate to provide high resolution, precise prints. Different types of ribbons are used for different substrates. Thermal printing is known for its high precision and quality, resulting in very low rejection rates.

Overprinting

Overprinting refers to the process of printing any data on top of hologram or label. This process is commonly used in food packaging to print information such as manufacturing / expiry dates, batch codes etc. Logo, text, Barcode, QR code or serial number can be printed on top of generic or customized Label/ holograms.

White Code Marking

Fixed information such as a person signature, name, year and codes can be printed. This is a permanent marking.
