A wide variety of inks are used to add enhanced cosmetic effect to the label as well as serve as an additional security feature to secure Labels/ Holograms against counterfeiting. Holosafe offers different types of inks depending on the application and required level of security.
Natural Feel Effect
It is a dynamic feature that enables natural elements of a design or an artwork look extremely real both visually and by mere touch. This feature can be used in printed Labels for cosmetic, beauty, food industry or any segment in which the artwork incorporates natural elements like flowers, fruits, vegetables, cereals, hair etc.
Texture Varnish
We have a number of coating options for achieving a textured look and feel to the label, including our super-gritty sandpaper coating. Selectively applied varnish creates controlled repellence if solid areas are overprinted with a liquid gloss varnish. This controlled repellence is characterized by the formation of fine droplets, which add a textured effect to the printed material. The unique texture can be used as a security or aesthetic tool.
Cast & Cure
Also known as Film Casting, Cast and Cure is a printing technology that produces high-gloss, holographic effects by using various specialty films and UV coatings. Cast and Cure adds an excellent visual impact to packaging, and can also be customized with anti-counterfeiting features for brand security. Another key advantage of Cast and Cure is that it can be spot applied to enhance specific areas on the label or packaging.
Fluorescence
- Visible text / graphics which give ‘glow’ effect when activated through UV light.
- Easy authentication through a portable UV light source such as a UV torch.
- Reversible security feature : Field level authentication.
- Available Colors : Orange / Pink / Lime Green ( Can be combined to create multi-colour fluorescence ).
Thermochromic
- Image disappears & then re-appears when rubbed by finger or on application of any heat source.
- Instant authentication by either rubbing or through a heat source; extremely end user friendly as no device required for authentication.
- Reversible security feature : End user authentication.
- Temperature ranges : from 25 C to 45 C ( These are the temperatures at which this feature gets activated ).
UV printing
- High security UV inks that are invisible under normal lighting conditions, but glow brightly under UV light
- Easy authentication through a portable UV light source such as a UV torch.
- Reversible security feature : Field level authentication.
- Available Colours: Yellow / Red / Green / Blue.
Coin Reactive
- Invisible text / graphics become visible only when rubbed with a coin or other metallic objects
- Easy and instant authentication with a coin.
- Irreversible security feature : Field level authentication.
